Is myownpic really free?
Yes. Every tool is free, with no watermark, no account and no limits on file size, count or resolution. There is nothing to upgrade to.
How can it work without uploading my photos?
Browsers can decode and encode images, run neural networks and read file metadata on their own. myownpic is a static website that uses those abilities. The file is opened from your disk, processed in memory and offered back as a download.
Which browsers are supported?
Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox on desktop and phones. WebP and AVIF output work in all of them because the encoders ship with the site. The fastest background removal needs Chrome or Edge.
What happens to my files?
Nothing. They never leave your device. Close the tab and every trace is gone. The only downloads are the site itself and, on the background remover, the AI model.
Can I process many images at once?
Yes. Compress, convert, resize, rotate, metadata removal and background removal all take batches and offer a zip download. Results can be sent straight on to another tool without dropping them again.
Does it work offline?
Yes. After your first visit the tools are kept by your browser and open without a connection. Install myownpic as an app from the browser menu and, on Android, photos can be shared into it straight from the gallery.
